Aspirant for UDA, David Ndakwa, has stirred controversy after making a provocative promise to voters, saying that if he wins the elections, he will “marry all widows” and make provisions for them.
During a campaign rally, Ndakwa confidently addressed his supporters, making remarks that immediately caught public attention for their boldness and unconventional nature.
“Nikishinda Kura Naoa Wajane wote Malava nawasikue na mipango ya Kando,” said David Ndakwa.
The statement has since ignited mixed reactions online. Some supporters interpreted his remarks as a commitment to social welfare, claiming that he is willing to take care of widows in his constituency. Others criticized the comments as inappropriate, arguing that they are politically insensitive and potentially exploitative.
Political analysts note that such statements, while controversial, often gain traction in local politics as aspirants attempt to connect with voters in unusual and memorable ways. However, they caution that the backlash could overshadow Ndakwa’s campaign message and undermine his credibility.
As the political temperature rises ahead of the elections, many Kenyans are now watching to see whether David Ndakwa will clarify his remarks or double down on his unconventional campaign promises.
