Kenyan actress Barbara Magoha, best known for her roles in Tahidi High and Wingu la Moto, is mourning the devastating loss of her only son, Blade Prince Adams, who passed away on October 11, just a month before his 10th birthday.
The heartbreaking news has left family, friends, and fans in deep sorrow. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover funeral expenses as the family honors Blade’s memory.
Although the exact cause of his death has not been disclosed, the family described Blade in his obituary as a vibrant, loving, and cheerful boy who brought immense joy to everyone around him.
In their touching tribute, the family wrote:
“The world lost a bubbly, strong boy who loved his family, food, and adored his three sisters. Heaven is lucky to have you. Until we meet again, beautiful boy.”
Blade’s funeral service was held on October 27 at Imani Family Church in West Des Moines, Iowa. The emotional ceremony was attended by close family and friends. Barbara, visibly heartbroken, was surrounded by her partner and their three daughters as she paid a moving tribute to her late son.
Fighting back tears, Barbara said,
“This is not anything I envisioned… I wouldn’t wish this on anybody.”
She went on to describe Blade as a friendly, kind-hearted, and intentional young boy who always made others smile with his laughter and warm spirit.
“He was kind and intentional in his movements,” she said. “I have cried, I have negotiated, and I have asked for more time, but there’s nothing to bring him back.”
After the service, Blade was laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery, where mourners gathered to comfort Barbara and her daughters as they bid their final farewell.
Messages of condolence have since flooded social media from both Kenya and the United States, with fans expressing sympathy and support for the actress during this painful time. Many noted that losing a child is one of the most unbearable experiences a parent can endure, and praised Barbara for her strength amid unimaginable grief.
May young Blade Prince Adams rest in eternal peace, and may his family find comfort in the love and prayers of those who stand with them during this difficult season.
