The father of Albert Ojwang has made an emotional appeal to veteran politician Oburu Odinga, urging him to relay his plea to President William Ruto for justice and compensation following the death of his son.
Speaking with visible pain, Ojwang’s father said his family has suffered immensely and feels forgotten by those in power. He appealed to Oburu Odinga to use his influence to ensure that the matter receives the attention it deserves at the highest level of government.
The grieving father emphasized that his demand is not driven by politics but by a desire for accountability, justice, and closure. He said compensation would help the family cope with the loss, but more importantly, justice would ensure that similar tragedies do not happen to other families.
His plea has touched many Kenyans, reigniting public discussion around state responsibility, justice for victims, and the need for leaders to listen to ordinary citizens seeking redress. Calls are growing for authorities to address the case transparently and ensure that the family’s concerns are not ignored.
