Peter Salasia lectures Ruto for hosting UDA meetings at Statehouse- just paint the entire State House yellow and replace anything written ‘State House’ with ‘UDA headquarters,’ you can’t lower the standards of State House to the funny yellow colours.

Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has faulted President William Ruto for allegedly hosting UDA party meetings at State House.

In a strongly worded statement, Salasya suggested that if State House is to be used for party affairs, it might as well be rebranded entirely. He sarcastically remarked that the President should paint the premises yellow — the official colour of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) — and replace the “State House” signage with “UDA Headquarters.”

Salasya argued that State House is a national symbol that should remain neutral and uphold institutional standards, rather than appear aligned with a political party.

His comments have sparked debate online, with supporters defending the President’s right to engage his party while in office, and critics insisting that public institutions should remain politically impartial.
