NTV news anchor Olive Burrows Quits NTV After 6 Years

After a year-long tenure as an NTV news anchor, Olive Burrows bid farewell to Nation Media Group. Reflecting on her six-year journey at the Kimathi Street-based TV station, she expressed gratitude for the invaluable experiences and friendships forged during her time there.

In a lighthearted moment amidst farewell messages from colleagues, Burrows jokingly anticipated tears, teasing, “You guys have been working to see me cry today, I will wait for it to start raining (laughs) then I’ll blame it on the sound.”

Insider reports revealed Burrows’ next career move – she is set to join Citizen TV, stepping into the shoes of Victoria Rubadiri, who recently transitioned to CNN.

Acknowledging NTV’s significant impact on her professional growth and personal evolution, Burrows professed her love for her NTV family. “I love you guys. It has been an absolute privilege working here at the Nation Media Group for the last six years,” she conveyed.

She credited NTV for taking a chance on her, a decision that not only propelled her career but also fostered enduring friendships. “They took a chance on me, and it has paid off, not just careerwise but also the friendships, and we remain comrades in arms because this craft we are in together for the greater good of Kenyans,” Burrows reflected.

Prior to her stint at NTV, Burrows served as a news anchor at Capital FM. Her departure follows that of Victoria Rubadiri, who co-anchored weekend news with veteran Jeff Koinange before parting ways with NTV.
