Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has once again made it clear that there will be no compromise when it comes to protecting Kenya’s electoral process. Speaking with unflinching resolve, Matiang’i stated, “Hatuta kaa tungoje kura ziibiwe alafu tuende kulilia kwa choo na press conference. Mimi mnanijua sifanyi mchezo na kazi.”
His words reflect a deep commitment to ensuring fairness and transparency, leaving no doubt about his approach. According to Matiang’i, while some may try to manipulate or steal the process, their plans will not succeed. He emphasized that even President William Ruto’s strategies cannot undermine the integrity of the vote, asserting confidently, “Tunajua plan ya William Ruto, but hawezi iba. I tell you niko hapa.”
Matiang’i’s statement resonates with many Kenyans who demand accountability and a zero-tolerance approach to electoral malpractice. By combining firmness with clarity, he sends a strong message: the law will be upheld, and no one—regardless of position—will be allowed to compromise Kenya’s democratic process.
