A recent video featuring Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism has sparked controversy among Kenyan social media users.
In an unspecified video that has been widely shared online, Pastor Ng’ang’a is heard making an unusual claim. He is requesting his congregation to identify any Luo individual who does not have HIV/AIDS, promising a reward of Ksh 1,000,000 to anyone who can do so.
The televangelist expresses his concerns about what he perceives as immoral behavior in society, particularly among the Luo community, whom he believes are heading towards a dire fate.
“These people from Nyanza are continually provoking God. Hellfire is expanding due to their actions. Show me a Luo without HIV, and I will give them one million…” Ng’ang’a stated.
Many social media users have criticized Pastor Ng’ang’a, accusing him of promoting tribalism in the country. They have called on the relevant authorities to take action against the preacher.
