Nairobi Central OCS States What he Did When he Was Told by his Juniors That Ojwang Was Badly Injured

Officer in charge of the Nairobi Central Police Station (OCS) Samson Taalam, has come out to defend himself after being linked to the mysterious murder of slain social media influencer Albert Ojwang who was allegedly killed by police officers while in custody on Sunday 8, June 2025.

Speaking after being questioned about the horrific ordeal, Samson Taalam denied links to Albert Ojwang’s murder, after he claimed that on the fateful day that the slain CRE teacher was killed, he was out of office particularly when Albert Ojwang was brought to the station by the arresting officers.

“I was out of office when he (Albert Ojwang) was brought to the station by the arresting officers” Samson Taalam indicated.

In a rather controversial fashion, Taalam moved on to claim that he was only informed that the police had arrested Ojwang, when his juniors who were on duty disclosed to him that someone was badly injured. As per his remarks, upon receiving the report, he rushed to the station and took an initiative of taking Ojwang to the hospital.

“I was called when things were terribly bad and I took the initiative of taking Albert Ojwang to the hospital” he added

In regards to the matter, Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss Mohammed Amin has now claimed that Samson Taalam should be treated as the prime suspect in the murder of Albert Ojwang, after the station declined to book the suspect following Talaam’s directives and consent.

“Taalam is the OCS of Central Police Station, and by the totality of things, he should be treated as the prime suspect in this matter,” Amin noted.
