Mugithi sensation Samidoh recently revealed the dreams he once nurtured for his future. Surprisingly, the father of five initially aspired to build a career in law.
However, life had other plans for Samidoh. Instead of pursuing his ambition to become a lawyer, he found himself charting a unique path as both a Police Officer and a celebrated singer. Today, he stands as one of Kenya’s most renowned Mugithi artists, earning admiration for his talent and dedication.
Despite his unconventional career path, Samidoh remains connected to his childhood dreams. In a recent social media post, he shared his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results, proudly displaying his Index 1 status. Accompanying the post, he humorously reflected on how far he has come.
“‘Huyo index number one wa kwenu anafanyanga nini siku hizi? 😜 I aspired to be a lawyer. Saa hii mimi ni One Man Guitar AKA Singing Policeman 😂😂 Dreams not shattered bado nakula mbuku,” he joked.
Adding to the nostalgic moment, Samidoh’s manager, Moses Marite, also revealed his KCPE results, disclosing that he, too, had achieved the prestigious Index 1 position. With humor, Moses quipped about his shift from aspiring to be an engineer to becoming what he described as a “memeer.”
Interestingly, had Samidoh pursued law, he would have shared the same professional field as Karen Nyamu, the mother of his children. This intriguing connection highlights the twists and turns that define life’s journey.
Samidoh’s story is a testament to the unpredictability of life. While he may not have realized his dream of becoming a lawyer, he has undoubtedly made an indelible mark in the music industry, all while keeping the essence of his initial aspirations alive.
