A Murang’a man has served his wife a thorough beating after she cooked dry chapati’s to be served to her inlaws.
The man from Karuthi village, Kiriaini-Murang’a County is said to have beat the wife after his mother complained about the delicacies texture and taste.
According to eyewitnesses, Samuel Karani, 34, had just married his sweetheart who he had met on Facebook and was a darling to every villager for her beautiful.
“We heard commotions and went to check an that’s when we found Samuel sitting on his wife and raining blows on her,” a neighbor said.
“We heard him say that the lady had lied to him that she could cook and that’s why he was beating her. His dad and mother were also saying that she should be returned to her home and Samuel marry another wife who can cook.”
It only took the interventions of areea Nyumba Kumi elders to cool down the fracas.More to follow.
