Comedian and popular content creator, Mulamwah, has once again captured the attention of social media users as he engages in a trending TikTok challenge, sharing glimpses into his personal life and addressing past relationship issues, particularly with his ex-girlfriend, Carol Sonnie.
In a TikTok video he posted, Mulamwah took a more introspective approach to discuss his experiences as a father, shedding light on the inherent challenges that come with the role.
Known for his comedic content, Mulamwah adopted a more serious tone as he shared snippets of his life from a tree plantation, reflecting on the intricate aspects of parenthood.
His narration delved into the misunderstandings and judgments he faces as a father in Kenya. Mulamwah emphasized the prevailing perception that he is often considered the root cause of issues in his relationships.
“Being a father in Kenya comes with its own set of challenges. People think I’m the problem. All the mothers of my children seem to dislike me. Please, I’m not the one who impregnated you. In Kenya, the child was told I died last year. I’m a father in Kenya. When I succeed, they say I’m making my ex suffer. I’m just living my life. So, should I not marry? I’m a father in Kenya; I only see my child online. I’m a father in Kenya. I’m still figuring things out because I know there will come a day when I’ll be needed. I’m a father in Kenya, and I’ve been blocked. Nobody is going to trust me, but that’s okay,” Mulamwah revealed in the video, explaining his perspective on being a father.
The comedian’s video elicited a range of reactions on social media, with some users expressing support for Carol Sonnie, while others speculated on Mulamwah’s emotions and his feelings towards his ex.
Social media comments included sentiments like, “@Lynn said: ‘I am wishing Carol Sonnie all the best in her life,'” and “@Mrs Patrick said: ‘There is a difference between a father and a deadbeat. You are a deadbeat.'”
Others acknowledged Mulamwah’s readiness to support his child in the future, with comments such as “@Kaida Njeru said: ‘He mentioned that there will be a time he’ll be needed, so this guy is ready to support Kayla anytime.'” Meanwhile, there were those who believed Mulamwah still had feelings for Carol Sonnie, as evidenced by comments like “@mama twins said: ‘This man loves Carol, bestie, you.'” and “@Yvonne Fanada said: ‘The truth is she will forever be your firstborn. The next one born will be the second born.'”
Additionally, there were remarks acknowledging Mulamwah’s revelation that he had been blocked, such as “@eunicendungu35 said: ‘At least he confirmed to us he was blocked and knows that one day he will be needed.'”
