“Mimi ni kijana ya Ruto”‎ – Court Left In Stitches as Man Charged With Trespass Claims Ruto is his Father

‎A Milimani court was on Thursday, September 25, left in laughter after a man charged with unlawfully entering Bunge Towers claimed he is President William Ruto’s son.

‎Nelson Ibrahim Kidero, also known as Nelson Muriithi, appeared before Principal Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi for the mention of his case.

‎The court had earlier ordered that he undergo a mental assessment before pleading to charges filed against him.

‎Kidero stunned the courtroom when he declared that his mother, identified as Angeline Muriithi, helped Ruto rise to power, insisting that the Head of State is his father. “Mr William Samoei Ruto is my father.

‎I helped him become president, and there is a mistake going on in parliament,” he told the court.

‎He went further to claim ownership of the Central Bank of Kenya pension towers, forcing the magistrate to ask him to repeat his statement. “Hio CBK Towers unaona ni yangu,” he said, sparking chuckles in court.

‎Kidero also mentioned that he studied at Alliance High School, which is why he speaks fluent English. When asked if he had relatives present, he vaguely pointed to “a lady in a blue sweater” among students in court.

‎Previously, Kidero had admitted trespassing into Bunge Towers, saying he was searching for his 13 wives. He named three and claimed the other ten were in court, a statement that left the gallery in stitches.
