The world is constantly evolving, and while some individuals are fortunate enough to secure employment after completing their chosen educational paths, others find themselves carried along by the currents of uncertainty. For those individuals, I want to convey a message of encouragement, urging them to embrace risk-taking and pursue endeavors they once thought impossible.
Unfortunately, the lack of employment opportunities has led many young people to abandon their aspirations. However, it is surprising to discover that a significant number of individuals have chosen to venture into entrepreneurship instead of relying on their academic credentials.
Let me share a remarkable story of gratitude that unfolded at an organization in Nairobi. One individual decided to uproot their life and establish a small business selling porridge in Nakuru. Initially, progress was slow as they could only afford water and sugar for their product.

Undeterred, they quickly realized the potential for expansion and began incorporating various ingredients. Their porridge quickly gained popularity among the general public when they started using sorghum, yam, millet, crushed nuts, milk, banana, stinging nettles, and omena as additional components.
With the business gaining traction, the entrepreneur, Mr. Macharia, and his sister are projected to earn around Ksh 5,000. Considering that a bowl of oatmeal typically costs between Ksh 70 and Ksh 100 in the market, their earnings are promising.
To kickstart their new venture, they invested Ksh 7,000 in a blender and Ksh 3,000 in ingredients. Relieved of the burden of traditional employment, their business has thrived. They now have plans to expand their company and explore other entrepreneurial opportunities in the near future.
Despite the challenges Mr. Macharia has faced, he harbors no regrets. He firmly believes that a higher power has bestowed upon him the ability to create positive change, and he is determined to make the most of it.
In conclusion, the world can be unpredictable and employment opportunities may be scarce. However, I encourage graduates and individuals struggling with job prospects to seize the moment, take calculated risks, and explore possibilities they may have never considered. By doing so, they may uncover hidden talents and find fulfillment in pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams.
