Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga has hit back at Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over his recent comments mocking Raila Odinga’s health.

In a fiery statement, Oburu condemned Gachagua’s remarks as disrespectful and insensitive, urging him to show respect to elders and leaders who have served the country for decades.

“Ile matusi Gachagua ametusi Raila Odinga kwa ugonjwa, nataka niambie Gachagua aombe Mungu sana afikishe ile miaka Raila ako nayo. Akifika iyo miaka atajua hii mwili yetu sio machine na huwezi fanya siasa na afya ya mtu mwingine,” Oburu warned.

He added that age is a blessing, not a weakness, and reminded leaders that health issues can affect anyone regardless of position or power.

Oburu’s remarks come amid growing criticism from Azimio leaders, who accuse Gachagua of crossing the line by politicizing personal matters and showing a lack of decorum in public discourse.
