Gospel singer Guardian Angel has opened up about his decision to construct a permanent home on land owned by his wife, Esther Musila, instead of building in his rural home of Butere. The couple recently made headlines after sharing photos of their beautiful new home, prompting questions from fans about the location and ownership of the property.
In response, Guardian Angel candidly explained the reasoning behind his choice. Speaking during a recent interview, the singer said that while he deeply respects his roots in Butere, the location is quite far and not ideal for his current lifestyle and commitments.
“Kwetu ni mbali,” he said, implying that his village is too distant from the city where he works and lives most of the time. “I decided to build where we can actually live and access everything easily. It doesn’t make sense to build a mansion somewhere you only visit once or twice a year.”
He went on to say that building on Esther’s land wasn’t just a practical decision—it was a show of unity and a symbol of their strong partnership. “This is our home. We planned it together, and we are building our life together,” he shared. Guardian Angel emphasized that it doesn’t matter who the land originally belonged to; what matters is the love and purpose they share.
The couple, who have often been in the spotlight due to their age difference and public displays of affection, continue to shut down critics with their unwavering bond and shared goals. Their new home stands as a testament to their commitment to building a life together, both literally and figuratively.
Guardian Angel’s decision is a reminder that home is not necessarily where you come from, but where you choose to grow.
