The Music Copyright Society just released its payouts for 2022, and the numbers are in! Bien of Sautisol shared a screenshot of his earnings, and you won’t believe how much he got – a whopping 14,000 Kenya shillings! But not all artists have been paid yet, including KRG the Don, who’s been making waves with his famous catchphrase “Mambo’imechemka.”
Some controversy has erupted over the payouts, with Casyipool from the United Democratic Alliance party attacking KRG the Don for not sharing her contributions. Casyipool thinks that KRG is just an unknown local artist who should only be paid 25 Kenya shillings. But that’s not all – Casyipool also had some words for Bahati and his wife Diana Marua, saying that she should earn more than him because she’s more well-known.
