The Energy Regulatory and Petroleum Authority (EPRA) has released the updated fuel prices, effective until midnight on June 14th.

In this latest assessment, there has been a decrease in the prices of petrol, diesel, and kerosene by Ksh1.00, Ksh1.20, and Ksh1.30 per litre, respectively. Consequently, motorists in Nairobi will now pay Ksh192.84 for a litre of petrol, Ksh179.18 for diesel, and Ksh168.76 for kerosene.

EPRA clarified that these prices include the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT), as per the stipulations of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2020, and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation under Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.

This adjustment follows a previous reduction, where Kenyans were paying Ksh193.84 for petrol, Ksh180.38 for diesel, and Ksh170.06 for kerosene.
