Boniface Kamau has officially left his casual job behind after securing one of the biggest SportPesa Mega Jackpot wins in recent years a staggering Sh424,660,718.
Kamau struck gold earlier this month by correctly predicting results for 17 football matches, a milestone he attributes to persistence and years of betting experience.
Speaking during a celebratory event in Nairobi, the father of two said his win marks the end of his former employment. “Job? That chapter is closed,” he remarked with a smile.
Despite the massive payout, Kamau insists betting will remain part of his life, revealing he has been an active SportPesa player for over a decade.
He also pledged to give back to the community, noting that his success would be shared beyond his household.
His first move, however, might be a getaway advice from his mother who urged him to take time and reflect before making major financial decisions.
SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri congratulated Kamau but cautioned him to ignore the wave of unsolicited advice bound to come his way.
Instead, Karauri encouraged him to focus on smart, long-term investments that would preserve and grow his newfound wealth.
