President William Ruto’s aide, Farouk Kibet, has faulted the opposition for engaging in divisive politics instead of presenting alternative ideas to help move the country forward.
Speaking during a Sunday service at PAG Tuiyogaa Church in Turbo Constituency, Uasin Gishu County, Farouk said Kenyans are more concerned about unity and development than political sideshows. He cautioned leaders against rhetoric that could fuel divisions.
“They have just concentrated on shouting that Kasongo must go. Kenyans do not even know who that Kasongo is. Everyone knows William Ruto is the president of this country, and that is it,” said Farouk.
Farouk emphasized that attempts to divide Kenyans along tribal or political lines would not succeed. He urged citizens to support government programmes, particularly the Social Health Authority (SHA) scheme, which aims to provide families with access to affordable healthcare.
Concern Over Alcohol and Drug Abuse
Farouk further raised alarm over the rising cases of drug and alcohol abuse in the region, warning that the vice was destroying families and exposing young people to serious risks.
“Unless tough action is taken by security agencies, the substances will ruin many families,” he cautioned.
