Coming as a shocker to his allies and the TangaTanga team, Kang’ata has changed tunes on Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential bid.
The Murang’a Senator who was in an interview with a local daily on Friday said that Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid will be a rough one since President Uhuru is currently the biggest threat and not Raila Odinga.
Being among the most trusted DP Ruto’s confidants, Kang’ata said that even though Uhuru will retire in 2022, the head of state is currently campaigning like he will vie for presidency for the third time.
Notably, Jubilee Party Secretary General, Raphael Tuju in a previous interview said that the party will hold a meeting to discuss about Raila’s Presidential bid ahead of the 2022 general elections.
Tuju also added that Uhuru’s heart is on the handshake and will stop at nothing to see that they form the next government after the 2022 General Elections.
