Popular radio personality Muthoni Wa Kirumba recently opened up about her personal life, offering rare insights during an interview on Kameme FM. The mother of one shared candid reflections on motherhood and her baby daddy, while opting to keep her current relationship status private.
“Yes, I have a child who is turning 10 years now. I am not married, but the baby daddy is there,” Muthoni revealed. When pressed further about her baby daddy’s identity, she responded playfully, “About the baby daddy, who wants to know about him? Do they want to sire with him?” she joked, laughing during the interview.
The accomplished broadcaster has recently been romantically linked to Mugithii musician Waithaka Wa Jane, a relationship that has sparked considerable discussion among fans and listeners alike. Their romance has become a hot topic both on and off the airwaves, capturing widespread attention.
In addition to addressing her personal life, Muthoni reflected on a controversial moment from her past. She recounted an on-air altercation with her then-co-host, Keziah wa Kariuki (also known as Kiengei’s baby mama). The scuffle stemmed from rumors that Keziah was allegedly spreading about Muthoni being a drug user.
“I hate gossip, so I confronted her about it, but she shrugged it off. As the music ended, I slapped her since she became rude in her response,” Muthoni admitted. The incident led to a suspension, with Muthoni receiving a two-week penalty and Keziah being suspended for one week.
Despite this heated exchange, Muthoni emphasized that the two eventually mended their relationship and continued working together harmoniously. Today, she considers Keziah a good friend, even describing her as one of the first friends she made upon moving to Nairobi.
