JUSTINA SYOKAU SUCCUMBS TO PRESSURE, VOWS NOT TO RELEASE “Twendi twendi four” SONG

‘2020’ sensation Justina Syokau has developed a tradition of releasing songs named after each new year, creating anticipation among her fans. However, in the case of 2024, the Kenyan public has urged her to take a pause.

The currently expectant artist revealed in a recent interview on Mutembei TV that she has decided to heed the calls of her fellow Kenyans and refrain from releasing a song for the year 2024 as initially planned.

During the interview, Syokau acknowledged that she had received numerous pleas from a segment of the Kenyan population, requesting her not to compose a song centered around 2024.

“There are people who are complaining a lot, by the way. People are saying, ‘Oh, don’t sing about 2024.’ They are advising me not to provoke the year. They’re telling me to let 2024 come unprovoked, not to sing about it,” Syokau expressed.

The controversial gospel singer committed to abstain from creating a song about 2024. However, she did not shy away from responding to her critics, asserting that her songs do not bring any misfortune, contrary to some people’s beliefs.

Justina Syokau insisted that she should not be held responsible for any difficulties faced by individuals in the preceding year, 2023, which led them to fear that her singing about 2024 might bring about a similar ordeal.

“I want to tell Kenyans that, as Justina Syokau, I am not going to provoke the year. Not only will I not provoke, but I will also not cast any spells on the year; I am not a sorceress. People are attributing their troubles to me, and I want to tell them that I will not sing a 2024 song. Please, I urge you to have peace of mind because even when I go to town, people chase me, saying, ‘Don’t release a song for 2024.’ I am not the bearer of the troubles that I am not experiencing,” she emphasized.
