Comedian and former radio host turned politician Phelix Odiwuor popularly known as Jalang’o is over the moon after a boy he helped sponsor 4 years ago posted stellar results in the just concluded KCSE examination.
Sharing the news on his socials and elated Jalang’o recalled the boy’s journey from 4 years ago when his predicament hit the nation after young Levis Otieno showed up to high school with his metallic box and no shopping whatsoever.
4 years later, Levis walked out of high school with a clean B+ filling all those who had played a hand in helping him with immense pride.
“4 years ago Levis walked into Kanga High school with nothing but a soap!” Started off the Langata Member of Parliament.
He went on to detail how a community of good willed well-wishers came together to help Levis out of his plight and ensure the next 4 years of his high school life would be smooth sailing.
Noting that the support was so overwhelming that they were able to help other needy students that were in the same boat as Levis.
“We gathered together and collected money and school items for Levis! We actually raised more money than was needed to complete his 4years in school, the balance was used to pay for other students!
@quickmartkenya opened their doors for us to shop for everything Levis wanted!
I personally travel to Kanga to see that he was admitted, fees paid and personal effects catered for,” Jalang’o excited recalled in part.
Finishing up, he went on to extend his immense gratitude to every single person who played a role in ensuring Levis managed to complete his 4 years of studies as their contributions had not been in vain, especially following the young boys pleasing exam results.
“Thank you soo much everyone who participated in this noble journey! Today Levis made all of us proud!

Levis scored a B+ in the national KCSE exams with his best subject being Computer studies. Young Levis Otieno had a clean A in the subject, which was followed closely by Geography which he managed to bag an A- in.
