Mulamwah, in his laid-back style, conveyed, “The face reveal will come at the right time…maybe we will charge Sh100 million but believe me, we will do things differently. There is no marking scheme to being a celebrity; just do what you believe is right and enjoy yourself, and those fans will enjoy or will be happy with you.”
The comedian and his girlfriend, Ruth K, joyfully welcomed their baby boy into the world, sharing photos and videos of the newborn without revealing his face on February 10, 2024. The couple introduced their son to the public by creating social media pages for him, offering a glimpse into the world of fame from a very early age.
In a heartfelt message celebrating the arrival of their son, Mulamwah expressed his gratitude, saying, “GOD IS GREAT, finally our boy is here, the heir is here, the KING is here – @oyando_jnr aka Kalamwah. Welcome to the world, my son. It’s the best feeling in the world to finally see and hold you. Can’t wait for us to grow & make memories together.”
Interestingly, Mulamwah’s approach echoes that of fellow comedian Eric Omondi, who also opted for a face reveal strategy. Omondi disclosed the face of his daughter, Kyla Hailey, after receiving a rumored sum of Sh50 million. The reveal coincided with Kyla being unveiled as a brand ambassador for Baby Shop Kenya, a Nairobi-based kids’ apparel shop.
Omondi and his partner Lynne celebrated their daughter’s new ambassadorial role and shared Kyla’s face, prompting a joyous announcement. Lynne commented, “Official brand ambassador at 4 months…You’re so perfect and adorable mama. Literally the best thing that has ever happened in mummy and daddy’s lives. We love you so much. Let me know in the comments who you think Kyla looks like.”
In both instances, these comedians have chosen to add a financial aspect to the unveiling of their children’s faces, making it a unique and memorable experience for themselves and their fans.
