Leah Wambui, a Kenyan entrepreneur, serves as a source of inspiration for all aspiring hustlers. Her journey from humble beginnings to becoming a multi-millionaire is a testament to the power of time and a never-say-die attitude.
Despite living her entire life in Kenya, Leah has managed to build 200 homes and achieve great success in the real estate sector. This has been a source of surprise for many people who believe that success of this magnitude can only be achieved in the diaspora.
Leah’s journey to success started after she had to drop out of school due to financial constraints. She took up a job as a receptionist and later delved into petty trading. With the help of a loan and her own savings, she was able to purchase a car which she used to transport goods to supermarkets in different locations.
In November 2015, Leah started her real estate project with a borehole in a remote area. Her goal was to build family-type homes that provide children with a safe and secure environment to express themselves. To her delight, she was able to sell all 200 homes she built.
Leah encourages youths to chase their dreams and never give up. She believes that opportunities can be created and encourages young people to believe in themselves. In her own words, “If you don’t think you can achieve what others have, no one can help you. The dream of looking at birds led to the invention of the plane.” Leah’s message is a source of motivation for all young people looking to make a mark in the world.
