I’m not married to my mother-in-law – Muigai Wa Njoroge’s 2nd wife responds after her mother-in-law rejects her.

Gospel singer Muigai Wa Njoroge’s second wife, Queen Stacey, has recently become a focal point of social media attention due to a dispute on her TikTok page. The controversy arose when Muigai’s first wife, Njeri, received commendation at the launch of her Woman of Courage Foundation.

During the event, Muigai’s mother publicly praised Njeri, expressing confidence that she would be a capable successor in caring for her son and grandchildren. She emotionally declared, “I know when I will leave this world, I have a woman to leave my children with,” and urged attendees to show love to Njeri, recognizing the challenges she had faced in life.

The expression of appreciation for the first wife triggered a response on Queen Stacey’s TikTok page, where some followers questioned her recognition within the family, asserting that Muigai’s mother had not acknowledged her.

In response to the criticism, Queen Stacey defended her position in the comment section. She reminded detractors that she is married to Muigai, not his mother-in-law, stating, “Do you want me to cry because of prayers? I am married to Muigai, not the mother-in-law. One day, if she likes, she will be happy about me.”

During the event, Njeri expressed gratitude to her mother-in-law, describing her as a great woman. She emotionally thanked her for welcoming her into the family and treating her like a firstborn daughter.

Muigai Wa Njoroge, a polygamous Kikuyu musician, acknowledged Njeri for accepting Queen Stacey as his second wife. He expressed his appreciation, saying, “You always make me happy because when I told you I wanted another wife, you didn’t oppose it. You accepted her as my wife because if you opposed her and I had accepted her, nothing could have changed. Thanks for accepting her.”

In August, Muigai Wa Njoroge conducted a ruracio ceremony to pay dowry for his second wife, Queen Stacey. Notably, his mother did not attend the ceremony.
