In an unexpected Facebook post, Diana, a first-year student at Maseno University since 2017, openly shared her HIV-positive status despite being gifted with physical attractiveness.
Since her enrollment at Maseno University, Diana claims to have infected 273 students and 3 lecturers, with an ongoing tally. She rationalizes her actions by expressing a desire not to face death alone, intending to involve others in her plight.
Attributing her contraction of the virus to a neighbor after completing high school, Diana admits to harboring bitterness and a deep-seated pain, which compelled her to spread the disease as a form of release. She finds solace in witnessing her peers taking antiretroviral drugs.
While maintaining a façade of well-being at Maseno University, Diana confronts those she has infected with a dismissive attitude, asking them if they were coerced into their predicament. She concludes her post by hinting at an imminent disclosure of the names of those she has infected.
