“I Do Not Fear Anyone”: Samidoh Breaks Silence on Police Exit Rumors

Mugithi star and police officer Samidoh Muchoki has briefly returned to Kenya, reigniting speculation over his future in the police service.

The celebrated musician addressed growing rumours during a recent interview with Kururia TV, where he neither confirmed nor denied his resignation but hinted at the possibility.

“I have never thought of resigning, unless you want to put words in my mouth. But if the time comes, we must let things go as they should,” he said.

Looking back on his journey in law enforcement, Samidoh expressed pride in how far he’s come. “I have come very far with this job. The training was not easy either. But if God has decided that my time in the service is up, who am I to refute?” he added.

Despite facing increasing public scrutiny and controversy, Samidoh remained defiant, brushing off suggestions that he might be backing down from the pressure.

“I do not fear anyone. This country belongs to us and we cannot run away from it,” he declared.

Known for balancing his duties in uniform with his soaring music career, Samidoh teased an upcoming major announcement.

“I will make a major declaration soon, and I will address that, but my stand has not changed,” he said.

These latest developments follow a series of dramatic events. Just three weeks ago, the National Police Service reassigned Samidoh from the Central Region Police Headquarters to the Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU) in Gilgil. That move came in the wake of his viral “Wantam” performance, which sparked controversy and was seen by many as politically charged.

Soon after the transfer, reports emerged that authorities had issued a directive to arrest Samidoh for desertion.

However, the artist later shared a letter dated April 25, 2025, confirming that he had been officially cleared to travel abroad.

As speculation swirls, Kenyans are watching closely to see what Samidoh does next.
