Speaking at the launch of his record label, “7 Heaven Music,” he recounted how mistreatment at a church led to his disenchantment with organized religion. He shared, “I went to a church to sing somewhere, and I was mistreated in that Church.” He went on to explain that he was initially prohibited from singing and stepping on the altar, which fueled his disillusionment.
This mistreatment deeply affected him, and he questioned whether his marital choice should bar him from expressing his faith through music in a church setting. Consequently, he decided to cease attending any church services, stating, “Mambo ya Kanisa na mimi it is done. I said I would be praying in my bedroom but my wife continued going to her church.”
