In a fiery statement, Matiang’i dismissed claims by Ruto’s allies that they are firmly in control and destined for re-election, saying the ground is shifting fast.
“Wale wanasema hawaezi kuwa one term, wacha wangoje 2027 waone — watakuwa one term!” Matiang’i declared.
Matiang’i, who has maintained a low profile since leaving government, has recently been seen attending several public and community events — a move that some observers say signals his slow re-entry into national politics.
