Samuel Muraya, also known as DJ Mo, and his wife, Size 8, are currently in the process of constructing their long-envisioned dream mansion.
The well-known celebrity couple, celebrated for their musical talents, recently held a significant groundbreaking ceremony on April 20, 2022, to officially commence their ambitious home-building project.
In a recent interview with Nairobi News, DJ Mo provided exclusive updates on the progress of their mansion construction, exactly one year after the groundbreaking event. He shared insights into the substantial investments, both in terms of time and resources, that they have dedicated to the project.
During the interview, DJ Mo expressed the challenges of the project, stating, “We are still in the process of building and documenting, aiming to complete it by January; it’s a project that can be quite demanding.” The devoted father of two revealed that they have already invested an impressive Sh23 million in the endeavor.
Delving into the reasons behind the extended timeline for the mansion’s completion, DJ Mo clarified, “It’s our family palace, so we want to take the necessary time to customize it to our specific standards. We will also be importing some of the fittings. When we unveil the house, the narrative will be significantly different from what you see now. We give all the credit to God for how far we have come with the project.”
While carefully importing and customizing construction materials and components to meet their exact specifications, DJ Mo expressed confidence that the final outcome will genuinely reflect their vision for the dream mansion.
Responding to queries about the estimated total cost of the project, he confirmed that their current expenditures stand at Sh23 million, with an expected completion budget of Sh48 million.
The mansion is set to feature six bedrooms, a dedicated prayer room, a state-of-the-art home theatre, and a professional recording studio. DJ Mo also hinted at additional extraordinary features that they are keeping undisclosed for the time being, stating, “We have four amenities and features we don’t want to mention until we achieve them.”
DJ Mo emphasized their aspiration to own the most outstanding residence within the East African entertainment industry, declaring, “When it comes to artists and the industry, we aim for it to be the best in East Africa. We trust in the God of excellence. Again, we are the Murayas.”
Located in the sought-after Daykio area on Kiganjo Road off Thika Super Highway, Muraya’s mansion is situated in a vibrant neighborhood where Kenyans are increasingly choosing to build upscale residences.
