DP Kindiki “Hakuna ukora Itafanyika”:2027 polls will be Peaceful ,free and fair

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has assured Kenyans that the 2027 General Elections will be conducted peacefully, and will be both free and fair.

Speaking during a public event in Teso North, Busia County, Kindiki urged Kenyans to ignore leaders spreading fear about possible violence during the next elections.

“Those predicting chaos are driven by a lack of patriotism and limited political experience,” he stated, without directly naming anyone.

His remarks come in response to recent comments by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who warned that Kenya could face unrest if the 2027 elections are not conducted transparently. In an interview with Obinna TV, Gachagua claimed that a disputed outcome could lead to violence even worse than that experienced after the 2007 General Election.

DP Kindiki, however, dismissed such claims and emphasized the importance of focusing on development rather than constant political rhetoric.

“We cannot be in a permanent campaign mode. Even the Bible teaches us that there is a time for everything. This is the time to deliver on our promises, not engage in endless politics,” he said.

He further assured Kenyans that the Kenya Kwanza administration is committed to addressing key challenges facing the country, including the high cost of living and unemployment.

“As a government, our focus remains on stabilizing the economy, creating jobs, and making life affordable for all Kenyans. Our efforts are yielding results—the Kenyan shilling is strengthening, and our economy is now performing better than that of Ethiopia and Angola, who were previously our close economic rivals,” he added
