MC Fullstop, the renowned Reggae MC, widely known as John Maina, has announced his triumphant return to work following a prolonged period of illness. Taking to his social media platforms, Fullstop excitedly declared his presence “back in the building” and expressed his eagerness to immerse himself in his work once again.
In his characteristic style, Fullstop added, “Area kama bacteria #reggaeboyzonNRG,” reflecting his exuberant spirit and love for his craft.
The news of Fullstop’s return brought immense joy to his dedicated fans, who swiftly took to social media to express their unwavering support and delight. One ardent follower wrote, “Welcome back, Fullstop! We missed you,” while another admirer eagerly commented, “So glad to hear that you’re feeling better. Can’t wait to hear you on the radio again.”
Fullstop, known for his captivating performances on both radio and television, has consistently demonstrated his unwavering dedication to his craft, even in the face of adversity. Despite the strain on his voice caused by his health condition, he delivered an unforgettable show, leaving his listeners in awe of his indomitable determination, as showcased in a viral video.
In May, Fullstop provided another health update to his devoted fans, just days after revealing that one of his lungs had collapsed. The artist had initially disclosed his battle with tuberculosis (TB) in 2021, which had significantly impacted his lung health. Unfortunately, in 2022, he faced another setback when diagnosed with TB of the throat, affecting his ability to speak, run, walk, and perform daily activities.
“My left lung has completely collapsed, leaving me with just one. In 2021, I was diagnosed with lung tuberculosis, which severely affected my respiratory system. And in 2022, I contracted throat tuberculosis, which deprived me of my voice, mobility, and ability to communicate,” he candidly shared with his followers.
Additionally, Fullstop expressed his frustration over the circulation of fake news surrounding his demise, taking to his Instagram account to address the matter. Venting his concerns on Twitter, the talented DJ lamented the false reports of his passing, acknowledging the distress it had caused him, his family, and friends. Seeking resolution, he inquired, “Where can I report the initial account? It’s not from Citizen; it’s a parody.”
Fullstop’s resilience in the face of these health challenges serves as an inspiration to his fans, who eagerly anticipate his return to the airwaves and stages, ready to experience his unmatched talent once again.
