DCI Finally Reveals the Weapon Killers Used to Murder Ojwang in Nairobi Central Cells

The mystery surrounding the death of Albert Ojwang in police custody has taken a chilling turn after detectives reportedly identified a riot baton as the weapon used in the fatal assault inside Nairobi’s Central Police Station cells.

This revelation follows the dramatic arrest of Station Commander Samson Talam, who was tracked down in Eldoret after allegedly going into hiding.

Talam had switched off his phone to evade authorities but was eventually captured and handed over to the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA).

His arrest makes him the third suspect to be detained in connection with Ojwang’s death, a case that has sparked widespread outrage and renewed calls for police accountability.

A female officer linked to the incident also spent hours under interrogation and remains under close scrutiny.

Ojwang, a teacher and digital content creator, was arrested in Homa Bay over claims of publishing false information and later transferred to Nairobi, where he was held at Central Police Station.

He died shortly afterwards, reportedly after being subjected to a brutal beating.

Investigators believe the riot baton used in the attack was removed from the scene as part of a coordinated cover-up.

A technician who had installed the station’s CCTV system has confessed to being paid to erase critical surveillance footage from the night Ojwang died.

So far, 23 individuals, including 17 police officers, have been questioned, with some revising their earlier statements.

IPOA has also secured court approval to detain Constable James Mukhwana, citing risks of interference with witnesses and evidence.

Forensic results and mobile phone data are expected to further strengthen the case as the investigation intensifies, shedding more light on a case that has shaken the public’s trust in law enforcement.
