Kenyan digital creator Yvonne Mugure has sparked an online buzz after sharing her unfiltered thoughts on Nairobi’s modern dating scene.
Taking to Instagram, Yvonne said Kenyan women are now facing “character development” from both local and Nigerian men — and the experience, she claims, can be quite the rollercoaster.
“Nigerian men are elite-level players,” she declared. “They’ll sweet-talk you, they’ve got money, and they’re not afraid to spend.”
According to Yvonne, Nigerian men don’t just impress with their flashy lifestyle — they play the game smart.
“They’ll woo you until you’re wooed,” she added, noting how their confidence and generosity often make them irresistible.
She went on to compare them with Kenyan men, saying Nigerians have mastered the art of romance through intentional pursuit and grand gestures that easily win women’s hearts.
With many Nigerian men now living in Nairobi, Yvonne believes their presence has changed the dynamics of dating, pushing Kenyan women to be sharper and more emotionally aware.
“Props to y’all,” she said. “If these dudes have been playing in your face for years, play back. I don’t even blame you.”
