Cleo Malala has raised serious questions over the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of Emurua Dikir Member of Parliament, Johhana Ng’eno, calling on fellow leaders to provide clarity. According to Malala, the events leading up to Ng’eno’s death reveal troubling inconsistencies that demand public scrutiny.
Reports indicate that Ng’eno had traveled with MPs Cherargei, Allan Chesang, and another legislator to the Rift Valley. However, while returning, the other leaders reportedly refused to travel back with him, instead arranging for Ng’eno to use a separate helicopter. The helicopter, which was empty at the time, required Ng’eno to carry photographers and other personnel.
Malala further revealed that the pilot, named Were, was switched from the original plane carrying the Rift Valley leaders to Ng’eno’s chopper. This series of unusual arrangements has prompted questions about the chain of events leading to Ng’eno’s fatal accident.
“The public deserves answers. Cherargei and Allan Chesang must explain exactly what happened and how Ng’eno died,” Malala said. His statements place political leaders under pressure to provide transparency, as citizens demand accountability in the wake of the tragedy.
The circumstances surrounding Ng’eno’s death have triggered widespread debate, raising concerns about safety protocols for government officials and the responsibilities of those who coordinate official travel. Observers argue that clarity on these events is critical, not only for justice but also to restore public confidence in political institutions.
As investigations continue, Malala’s revelations are likely to intensify scrutiny on the leaders involved and the official procedures that preceded the fatal flight. The nation now waits for answers that could provide both closure and lessons on the handling of official travel for public representatives.
