A wedding ceremony took a dramatic turn after the bride ran out of the venue in tears — moments before exchanging vows — claiming she had been “catfished” by the groom.
The bride, 28, had reportedly met her groom on Facebook and they dated online for over a year. They exchanged photos, made video calls (with filters on), and even discussed baby names — all without meeting in person due to “work and travel issues.”
The groom, 36, organized a grand wedding, flying in family and friends from multiple states. But when the bride arrived and saw his unfiltered face for the first time, she reportedly broke down and refused to proceed.
> “This is not the man I fell in love with,” she was heard shouting, as she fled the venue barefoot with her bridal train chasing after her.
According to witnesses, the groom had used heavily filtered photos and old selfies to appear younger and more attractive online. Some guests claimed he had even sent fake voice notes pretending to be in foreign countries.
The incident was caught on camera and has since gone viral on TikTok and Instagram — sparking heated debates online about catfishing, online dating, and filtered beauty standards.
