Israel-American televangelist Benny Hinn recently revealed his profound regrets regarding his past decisions to involve false prophets in his crusades.
In an interview with The Strang Report, Hinn spoke openly about his journey towards greater accountability and transparency within his ministry. He acknowledged that at times, he had not exercised sufficient wisdom in his prophetic endeavors.
“Everyone makes mistakes. The two things I regret most in ministry are moments where I lacked wisdom in handling prophecy,” Hinn confessed.
He admitted to allowing individuals to participate in his crusades who made unfounded prophetic claims, actions which he now recognizes as harmful not only to his reputation but also to the lives of believers who trusted those prophecies.
“They ventured beyond the boundaries of redemption. Anything outside of redemption isn’t prophecy. We shouldn’t permit that. I did in the past, but I’ve ceased doing so for years now,” Hinn clarified.
Hinn’s reflections followed his recent visit to Kenya, where he conducted a mega crusade at the invitation of President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto from February 24 to 25. Thousands attended, including prominent figures like Kenyan televangelist Pastor Ezekiel Odero.
The event featured powerful moments of prayer and worship, including Hinn’s heartfelt prayer for the president and his wife, demonstrating faith and unity.
Reflecting on his own prophetic words, Hinn expressed regret over instances where his predictions proved inaccurate.
“There were times when I believed God had shown me something and I spoke it out. Unfortunately, I wish I could revisit those moments. Some of those prophecies weren’t accurate or from the Lord. For that, I ask people to forgive me. I’m only human,” he humbly admitted.
