Bahati’s Daughters Slam Him for Calling Different woman Mrembo in Presence of Diana Marua

Renowned gospel artiste Bahati Kenya found himself in hot water after referring to a waitress as Mrembo (beautiful) during a family outing. The incident, which was captured in a viral clip, showed Bahati dining at a restaurant with his wife Diana Marua and their two daughters, Mueni and Heaven, when he thanked the waitress for serving him by addressing her as Mrembo.

While seemingly innocent, Bahati’s comment didn’t sit well with his daughters. Mueni and Heaven promptly called him out for what they perceived as disrespectful behavior in their mother’s presence.

“Daddy, why do you keep calling every girl Mrembo while your Mrembo is sitting right here, wondering?” the two questioned, directing their disapproval at their father.

Diana Marua, equally taken aback, supported her daughters’ sentiments. “Girls, have you ever heard your daddy call me Mrembo even once?” she asked.

Attempting to defend himself, Bahati explained that Mrembo is a casual term often used to address any woman. “It’s just a normal name. Kwani, is it wrong to call someone Mrembo?” he responded.

However, his daughters weren’t convinced. “You’re here with your wife, yet you’re calling another woman Mrembo in front of her. It feels bad,” they said. “You always call your wife ‘beiby,’ but never Mrembo. It’s like you don’t think she’s beautiful.”

The pressure from his daughters and wife ultimately compelled the Barua hitmaker to apologize. He went on to shower Diana Marua with praise, calling her the most beautiful woman in the world to mend the situation.
