“Bado Sijapona kidonda”: Jacob Ghost Mulee Shares Painful Struggles with Friend’s Betrayal

Jacob Ghost Mulee has revealed that he is still grappling with the pain of his friend’s betrayal. Speaking to Billy Miya on Maskani 47, the renowned journalist shared how a friend he trusted for years betrayed him by leaking his deepest secrets.

Mulee explained that he had grown up with this friend and considered him like a brother. He believed he could confide in him without fear of being hurt. However, after sharing some of his most personal secrets, the friend went ahead and revealed them to others. The shame from that betrayal has stayed with Mulee, particularly when he reflects on the feelings stirred by Nyota Ndogo’s song Kuna Watu na Viatu.

“He was a true friend. The kind of friend you see as a brother, someone you can open up to without any hesitation. We grew up together, played together, and there was nothing to hide,” Mulee shared.

The former Harambee Stars coach admitted that this betrayal had a lasting impact, and as a result, he has never again shared his deep secrets with anyone. “I shared everything with him, but he betrayed me. He betrayed me so badly that to this day, I can’t face anyone. I will never trust anyone with my secrets again. If he could do that, I can’t trust anyone,” Mulee revealed, expressing the lasting emotional pain caused by the betrayal.

Mulee also shared that he continues to struggle with the shame of what happened but remains hopeful that time and prayer will help him heal. “I haven’t fully recovered, but I pray every day to heal because he caused me so much pain. I thought I had a brother, but I was wrong. I can’t even take his calls or talk to him anymore,” he said.

In closing, the radio personality advised his followers to guard their secrets closely. “Keep your deep secrets to yourself. Some things are meant to be taken to the grave. Don’t be fooled into opening up to others. There are matters that should remain between you and your God,” he advised.
