Residents of Mukuku Village in Makueni County are reporting strange health problems after coming into contact with a metallic object that fell from the sky on December 30, 2024, at around 3:00 PM. The object, which was on fire when it landed, has caused severe headaches, itchiness, and fever among some locals.
According to The Kenyan Times Richard Musyoka, one of the villagers who visited the scene, said he started feeling unwell three days after the incident. “The object was burning when we found it. The heat was intense, and it warmed my face and body, but I didn’t feel any effects immediately,” he explained. Musyoka also tried to take photos of the object and send them to others.
Later, he experienced a severe headache that water and painkillers could not cure. Thinking it was normal, he initially drank water and took Piriton, but his condition worsened. By January 5, the pain had spread throughout his body, and he felt like his body was burning. “It felt like the fire from the object was affecting my health,” Musyoka shared.
He visited a hospital and was given ointments for his symptoms, but the burning sensation persists. Musyoka now urges the government to send doctors to test locals and determine what is causing their health problems.
“Our health is more important than compensation for now,” he stated. The residents are calling for urgent medical assistance to address the mysterious effects linked to the fallen object.
