Comedian and YouTube content creator, Oga Obinna, is contemplating terminating the employment of his recently hired house manager, just four days into her tenure. The reason behind this abrupt decision is her inadequate preparation of chapatis.
Obinna expressed frustration, mentioning that he has gone through five house managers in the span of two months due to various issues. In a social media post, he lamented, “Ghai!! KIMENIRAMBA TENA!!! The new House Manager, barely a week old, has today cooked chapatis!! 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️ I’ve changed about 5 house managers in a span of 2 months. WHY? They don’t know how to cook!! I love food, good food!! I’m a brilliant cook, so whatever is prepared has to be GOOD!! I’ve hired from agencies, referrals, and DMs 🤦🏿♂️. They all claim they can cook and bake, but when it comes to the kitchen, someone ends up messing up the fish 🥲😪. Now, I don’t know what to do. This one has cooked chapatis neatly, but they are as hard as bricks!”
Obinna went on to share the shortcomings of his previous house managers, recounting an incident where one of them accidentally hit his child with an iron box. He disclosed, “The one who left on the 23rd was lazy and slow, cooked poorly, and accidentally hit a child on the forehead (I don’t even know how it happened). Before her, there were issues with food, cleanliness, obsession with Korean movies, stubbornness, and instigating fights among the children,” detailed the father of four.
Despite his dissatisfaction, Obinna expressed his willingness to pay the current house manager her full salary and let her go, acknowledging her efforts during the brief employment period. He concluded by seeking recommendations for agencies that provide well-trained house managers and chefs, emphasizing the need for reliable and skilled household staff.
