Shakilla, an emerging figure in social circles, recently divulged exchanges with former radio DJ Andrew Kibe on her Instagram, followed shortly by revelations about Eric Omondi on the same platform.
Accusing the comedian of leveraging her for unpaid publicity for his performances, Shakilla cited an incident from 2021 when Omondi allegedly refused to compensate her and other cast members while filming his notorious Wife Material show. Despite repeated attempts to contact Eric, Shakilla remains unpaid for her contributions.
In a turn of events, Mishi Dora issues a warning to Shakilla, branding her as a potential socialite. The self-proclaimed “Club Covid queen” has withdrawn from social media, attributing her actions to a desire for attention and benefitting from her involvement in performances.
Expressing her grievances, Shakilla lamented on Instagram Live, asserting, “Eric has exploited me in numerous ways. He failed to remunerate me and others involved in the Wife Material show, displaying bias and unfairness in selecting the winner. Consequently, I devised a strategic approach to derive some benefit from the show.”
She continued, emphasizing her intention to gain social media visibility if monetary compensation was not forthcoming, stating, “If I don’t receive any financial compensation, at least I’ll attain a heightened presence on social media.”
Shakilla further urged Eric Omondi to align his actions with his professed support for local talents. Criticizing him for not compensating content creators while claiming to champion artists, she remarked, “Eric exploits people. You cannot assert support for artists while neglecting to pay content creators.”
As of now, Eric Omondi has yet to address the accusations made by Shakilla.
