Willy Mwangi, a kahawa hawker from Dandora, recently went viral after a video showed him being slapped by Pastor James Ng’ang’a while sleeping in the church. Mwangi is now demanding compensation from the pastor, threatening legal action if he is not paid.
Speaking to a local media outlet, Mwangi revealed that his life has taken a turn for the worse since the video went viral. According to him, customers have stopped buying from him, and he faces constant ridicule from the public. Many people assume he was handsomely paid for the incident, but he claims he only received a suit and a pair of shoes.
Mwangi further alleged that Pastor Ng’ang’a later summoned him to his office, where he was threatened and told exactly what to say to the media. He says that is the reason he appeared in a follow-up video saying he was grateful for the slap. However, he insists he has never received any financial help from the pastor.
Now, Mwangi is demanding that Pastor Ng’ang’a compensate him for the damages caused, or he will take the matter to court.
