Esther Akoth, also known as Akothee, a popular singer and businesswoman in Kenya, recently revealed that she wishes to be buried in her newly purchased wedding gown worth Ksh. 700,000 ($6,500). Akothee had just returned from Paris, where she had gone to find a dress that met her preferences, as she was unable to find one in Kenya.
In an interview with the media, Akothee explained that the gown held great significance for her and that she hoped her family would honor her wishes and lay her to rest in it. She likened it to the way she would dress for her wedding day, and it held a special place in her heart.
Akothee also revealed that she had refrained from hiring a luxurious wedding gown because celebrities in the country were notorious for trolling those who copied their fashion choices. She further stated that the gown cost her 4800 Swiss francs (approximately Ksh. 695,000), but she was not concerned about clout-chasing, as she had made her money way before.
Moreover, Akothee disclosed that most of her Caucasian ex-partners, including the fathers of her three children, had not shown interest in marrying her and walking her down the aisle. However, Omosh, her current partner, had expressed his willingness to do so.
Their much-anticipated wedding is scheduled for the 10th of April at Windsor Gardens, and Akothee expressed her excitement and happiness for the upcoming event.
