Kenyan singer and entrepreneur Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee, has attributed her recent challenges on the TikTok app to Nyako, a fellow content creator. Akothee claims that Nyako’s followers played a significant role in the suspension of her TikTok account for several days.
After making a triumphant return to the platform, Akothee engaged her audience with entertaining clips, often featuring her rumored boyfriend, Nelly Oaks. Seeking to establish herself as the dominant figure on TikTok in Kenya, she dubbed herself the “Queen of TikTok.”
However, Nyako apparently took offense to Akothee’s declaration and directly confronted her. Nyako provocatively asserted that Akothee is the mother of five failed relationships. This sparked a heated exchange of words between the two on the social media platform.
In response to the altercation, Nyako posted a video filled with insults, challenging Akothee to a verbal showdown on TikTok. Shortly thereafter, Akothee’s TikTok account faced a setback, being suspended for several days, preventing her from uploading videos.
Akothee, in response to the TikTok suspension, insinuated that jealousy and malice were the root causes. Despite the setback, she reaffirmed her dedication to growing her TikTok account, emphasizing that nothing would deter her.
Expressing her frustration, Akothee questioned whether she needed permission to share her life with her fans on the platform. She raised concerns about the ownership of the app and suggested that jealousy had become uncontrollable, with people warning her against joining TikTok.
Akothee revealed that both her account and Nelly Oaks’ accounts were reported and suspended, showcasing the extent of jealousy and insecurity. Undeterred, she announced her return to TikTok on the 25th of November once the suspension is lifted.
In defiance of the apparent attempt to weaken her social media presence, Akothee emphasized her determination to continue using these platforms for entertainment, education, and moments of joy. She declared that no one would prevent her from being active on any social media page.
