At least 49 people have lost their lives while more than 2,600 families have been displaced after heavy rains triggered deadly floods in different parts of Kenya.
The ongoing downpours have caused rivers to burst their banks, sweeping away homes, destroying crops, and cutting off roads in several counties. Rescue teams and local authorities have been working around the clock to evacuate residents trapped in flooded areas as water levels continue to rise.
