A Member of County Assembly (MCA) from Lodwar has sparked reactions after launching a scathing attack on Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General, Edwin Sifuna.
In a fiery statement, the outspoken MCA told Sifuna off, dismissing him as politically immature and incapable of matching the stature of President William Ruto.
“Wewe Sifuna ni mtoto mdogo, hata makamasi haijaisha kwa mdomo, lazima uheshimu Ruto. Hutawahi nusa kiti ya President, Ruto sio size yako,” the MCA declared.
The remarks, loosely translated, suggest that Sifuna is too young and inexperienced in politics to challenge or disrespect the Head of State. The MCA insisted that President Ruto commands respect and that Sifuna is not in the same political league.
The comments come amid heightened political exchanges between opposition leaders and allies of President Ruto, with debates intensifying over governance, economic policies, and the direction of the country.
Sifuna, known for his sharp criticism of the Kenya Kwanza administration, has often clashed with leaders allied to the President. The Lodwar MCA’s remarks now add to the growing political rhetoric as the country edges closer to another heated political season.
The exchange highlights the widening political divide, with leaders on both sides maintaining tough public stances as they seek to consolidate support among their respective bases.
