John Mbadi has called for dialogue within opposition ranks, saying leaders who have consistently opposed cooperation with William Ruto should openly declare their preferred political direction.
In a candid statement, Mbadi said they are ready to engage with Edwin Sifuna, James Orengo and Babu Owino, noting that the trio has long expressed reservations about working with President Ruto. He challenged them to clearly state who they would rather align with if not Ruto — posing whether it would be Uhuru Kenyatta or “Wamunyoro,” a reference commonly associated with Rigathi Gachagua.
Mbadi urged the leaders to present their case formally instead of issuing what he termed “disjointed statements,” warning that mixed messaging is fueling political tension.
He also expressed concern over rising unrest, lamenting that the Luo community has lost too many lives in politically charged incidents. Mbadi said he was particularly shocked to learn that a man killed in Kitengela was a Luo, underscoring the need for calm and constructive engagement.
His remarks add to growing internal debate as political realignments continue to shape the country’s opposition landscape.
