Lazima uombe msamaha-Drama as Furious Speaker Moses Wetang’ula kicks out and bans MP Antony Kibagendi from ever setting foot in Parliament untill he apologises for remarks he made on Citizen TV.

Drama unfolded in the National Assembly after Moses Wetang’ula ordered the removal and suspension of Anthony Kibagendi over remarks made during an appearance on Citizen TV.

A visibly firm Wetang’ula ruled that Kibagendi would not be allowed to set foot in Parliament until he formally apologises for the comments, which were deemed inappropriate and disrespectful to the House. The Speaker insisted that members must uphold the dignity and authority of Parliament both inside and outside the chamber.

“Lazima uombe msamaha,” Wetang’ula reportedly declared, making it clear that the MP’s return hinges on an unconditional apology.

The move has intensified political tensions, with allies of Kibagendi terming the action excessive, while others argue that parliamentary discipline must be maintained at all times. The standoff now places pressure on the Kitutu Chache South legislator to decide whether to apologise or prolong his absence from the House.
